A topless Tower Crane, also known as a flat top tower crane, is a type of construction crane that does not have a traditional horizontal jib or boom. Instead, it features a horizontal machinery arm that is used to lift and move loads. The absence of a jib allows for easier maneuverability and greater flexibility in confined spaces. Topless tower cranes are commonly used in urban construction projects where space is limited. They can be easily erected and dismantled, making them ideal for projects with tight timelines. The lack of a jib also allows for better visibility for the crane operator, enhancing safety on the construction site.
These cranes are typically mounted on a concrete pad or a tower section, and their lifting capacity can range from a few tons to several hundred tons. They are often used for tasks such as lifting and placing heavy materials, equipment, and prefabricated components during the construction process.
Overall, topless tower cranes offer numerous advantages in terms of efficiency, versatility, and safety, making them a popular choice in the construction industry.

In 2009, Autodesk launched the Cleantech Partner Program as a way to support innovative pioneers and startups working in green and clean technology. We began by offering our design software to over 100 companies across the US and Europe. Fast forward six years, and today, more than 3,000 startups from North America, Europe, Israel, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore have joined the program to access tools that help them design and develop sustainable solutions.
To better support the next wave of entrepreneurs, we are expanding our focus beyond traditional markets and cleantech sectors. In response to this shift, we are rebranding the program to the Autodesk Entrepreneur Impact Program.

The expanded program is open to entrepreneurs worldwide who are driving positive environmental or social change. They can apply for access to Autodesk’s digital prototyping, design, engineering, and fabrication software—tools that can help turn their ideas into real-world impact.
Over the past six years, the world has seen major changes. Cleantech has evolved significantly, renewable energy costs have dropped, and many global companies are now investing in clean technology initiatives. Technology development has accelerated, making it more accessible than ever before. The millennial generation has become a dominant force in the workforce, and sustainability and climate change are now top priorities for many.
This new wave of entrepreneurs isn’t just building businesses—they’re creating scalable solutions with real environmental and social impact. These innovators are playing a key role in addressing climate change, not just in the US or Europe, but around the globe. For example, Forbes recently highlighted how Africa's young entrepreneurs are set to transform the continent. In China, the government is actively supporting startups as part of its vision for a sustainable future.
We're witnessing a shift that was once unimaginable. Today, small teams of entrepreneurs can come together, secure funding, and disrupt entire industries. Innovation is happening across various sectors, including energy, mobility, construction, water, waste, materials, health, and well-being. These entrepreneurs are all focused on designing solutions that create meaningful, large-scale impact.
Grassroots organizations in Africa, Southeast Asia, and India have grown rapidly, and through this program expansion, they will gain access to the same powerful Autodesk tools used by industry leaders. We aim to support those with the highest potential for impact through additional training and resources.

As the UN Climate Change Conference (COP21) continues, it’s time to take real action toward climate solutions. Empowering entrepreneurs is one of the first steps we can take. As Peter Drucker once said, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.†We hope to see more entrepreneurs step up and design solutions that help build a low-carbon future for everyone. Apply now.
Eligible entrepreneur organizations must be less than five years old, have under $1 million in annual revenue, and be developing solutions with positive environmental or social impact. Qualified applicants will receive access to up to five licenses of three Autodesk software products: Autodesk Product Design Suite Ultimate, Autodesk Fusion 360, and Autodesk Building Design Suite Ultimate.
