This report comes from Eric Haak: The Calumet Park Fire Department was called to a structure on the 12400 block of South Honore around 7:20 PM on Monday, July 21st, 2014. The first engine and truck arrived within two minutes, showing quick response time. Upon arrival, firefighters found the residents outside and heavy smoke coming from the front door. They quickly entered the home and located the fire in a back bedroom. Within three minutes of their arrival, the Calumet Fire Department had the fire under control and contained it before it could spread to other rooms or the attic. Additional units from Posen, Midlothian, Merrionette Park, and Riverdale were sent as auto-aid.
