Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share my experience from last night’s callout at the Northlake 4th Alarm on 2200 N. Mannheim. I arrived a bit late but still managed to snap a few photos as firefighters from Hillside, Melrose Park, and Broadview tackled the blaze. The teams were hard at work deploying multiple handlines to protect the surrounding structures in sector 3. It was intense, and I could see the dedication and focus in their actions.
Later, I also captured some great shots of members from Leyden working on overhauling one of the vehicles that had been affected by the fire. The teamwork and coordination among these departments were impressive. It’s always humbling to witness such professionalism in action.

Writing this makes me grateful for the brave men and women who risk their lives to keep us safe. Their efforts never go unnoticed, and it’s moments like these that remind me why I love documenting these stories.
