This message comes from Dylan Konchan: Yesterday marked the funeral of PFC Aaron Toppens in Mokena. In preparation for the procession from the church to the cemetery, the Mokena Fire Protection District coordinated with several neighboring fire departments to cover both sides of Wolf Road. Units from Frankfort, Peotone, Homer Township, Manhattan, New Lenox, and Palos Heights all arrived to support the event. It was a solemn occasion, and the presence of so many emergency services highlighted the deep respect and unity within the community.
