I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out because we’ve got a unique piece of firefighting history that’s up for grabs—our 1967 Crown Firecoach Snorkel, model F-1535. It’s a workhorse with some serious history behind it, and now it’s ready for its next chapter.
This beauty has seen a lot of action over the years. Originally sold by Deerfield-Brannockburn in Illinois back in 1984 to Black River Falls, Wisconsin, it eventually found its way to Chilhowie, Virginia, in 1997. Along the way, it also served the Glade Spring Fire Department in Virginia. After some time off the line, it’s now back where it belongs, in Chilhowie, and is currently owned by Brent Foster.
The truck itself is in decent shape considering its age. It boasts an impressive 85-foot boom, powered by a reliable 8V71 Detroit engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. The paint job still looks good, and the tires are in solid condition too. It’s not perfect—it’s a vintage vehicle after all—but it’s fully functional and ready for either continued service or restoration.
We’re asking $12,500 for this classic fire truck, which feels like a steal given its history and potential. Whether you're a collector, a museum, or a department looking to add a piece of firefighting heritage to your fleet, this could be the one for you.
