Early Tuesday morning (9/13/16), the Wheeling Fire Department responded to a report of a small fire at a townhouse located on Thornhill Lane. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered flames licking the exterior of the building near the rear deck of a second-floor unit. Swift action was taken, with one hose line deployed to effectively contain the damage to a localized area. Attached are several images capturing the scene. The first photograph showcases Rosenbauer America’s fire trucks stationed in Wheeling, Illinois, providing a sense of the resources brought to bear. In another shot, you can see the source of the incident—a small fire that had broken out on the balcony. A subsequent image highlights the teamwork involved as firefighters skillfully raised a ground ladder to access the affected area.
