Gold River adoption soluble anode and the cathode by electrolytic cobalt produce electricity. The production uses 12 electrolytic cells, the specification is 2060mm × 790mm × 860mm, and two tanks are used for liquid production. The electrolyte is a chloride system, and the chemical composition of the cathode new liquid is listed in Table 1.

Electrolysis temperature: 55 ~ 65 ° C

Slot voltage: 1.6~2.2V

Electrolyte circulation: 16 ~ 220ml min (min · bag)

Negative liquid level in the anode and cathode area: 30~50mm

Cathode cycle: 3 days

Composition of cobalt electrolysis anolyte:

The anolyte is cleaned and decontaminated together with the reconstituted liquid, and then returned to the electrolysis as a new cathode liquid. The main impurity removal operations are nickel removal, copper removal, lead removal and iron removal. The main process conditions for purification and impurity removal are listed in Table 2.

The purified slag is removed by pressure filtration, and the cobalt-containing iron slag is returned to be slurried and reduced by the cobalt slag of the nickel system. After purification treatment, the solution reaches the requirement of producing catholyte for electrocobalt, namely: Co>100g∕L, Fe<0.001g∕L, Cu≤0.003g∕L, Pb≤0.0003g/L, Zn≤0.007g∕L .
